Amazing tool
Does exactly what its advertised to do. Used it for joist hanger nails and worked perfectly. Saved my fingers, back and a whole ton of frustration.

Amazing and Useful
This makes driving nails so easy in tight places. It is my go-to when installing Strongtie brackets.

For Tight spots/speed
Built a shed and it beat hammering by hand galvanized nails to attach Simpson strong tie hardware... smooth and easy to use.

Good power and smooth
The magnet holds nails in very well. The tool drives the nail smoothly and with plenty of power. The tool is light and has a nice rubber cover, and it's smooth to operate. It's fast and smooth. Air pressure adjustment is needed to match the job. The anvil that hits the nail head can and will extend out past the guide tube if you keep pressing down, which means the nail can be driven well into a countersink position. Holding the tool over an existing nail and pressing will countersink a nail that's already there. Controlling the depth takes practice. It's easy to get a nice flush nail set, and easy to countersink it afterwards if desired. As long as the nail head fits in the tube, you're good to go. Don't use a nail without a head. Finishing nails get jammed inside between the anvil and tube. I especially like the swivel air fitting and would not buy a similar tool without the swivel.

Daughter loves it
We used the nailer to build our chicken coop. My 17 y.o. daughter at the time felt comfortable using it versus the other bigger bulkier mail guns. Light weight easy to control.

Very high quality
As a Metabo, formerly Hitachi brand you would expect it to be of great quality, for which this palm nailer is. There is nothing cheap about it and it is one of those tools you don't really know how you did things without until you start using it. This unit is definitely built to last. It is great for getting nails in hard to reach spots like joist hangers or anywhere else that you'll have a hard time swinging a hammer or getting your framing guns into. I wish I had bought one 10 years ago when I started my business, it's just one of those tools that I overlooked its value for far too long. Don't hesitate to get one of these if you are a contractor or taking on a DIY project. Would recommend you get this one for the few bucks more than the cheapo box store brands as this one is far more durable.

Not as good as Bostitch
I started my DIY deck project with a Bostitch palm nailer, borrowed from a neighbour. It worked amazing, but I had to return it and purchased Metabo instead. I got it since it was $10 cheaper than Bostitch just to find that it's unable to drive 3" nails. I returnedMetabo and purchased my own Bostitch palm nailer. Metabo works if you want to save ten bucks and plan to use it for hangers only. It won't work for longer nails.

Couldn’t use it = TOO SMALL
Bought it this summer for nailing my shed’s roof (did it in the week of Oct 5th) to realize the roof nail’s head wouldn’t fit in the small hole of the Nailer. The head of the nail was too big, yet it said it would accept a 2 to 3in. nails.

Defective, Don't waste your time
Oiled and on the first 3.5" test nail went in half way before air was leaking out and no more pounding. Other reviewers had the same problem, thought I would have better luck and gave it a try. Waste of time and effort to return. Horrible product !!

Leaks air out of box
Bought this to do a door framing for a root cellar, prepared everything, started cutting lumber and when I connected the nailer it was leaking air everywhere. Tried every troubleshooting techniques I could find, but it probably had a faulty O ring. Couldn't wait for another so resorted to using screws I had laying around and returned this one. Disappointed I didn't get a chance to use it, it looked like a promising tool. Lesson learned, check and test your brand new tools before beginning work on a project.
